Philosophy
To touch the surface is to stir the depths.
Cían’s approach to massage is grounded in the belief that the body is not something to be fixed, but something to be listened to. Tension, discomfort and fatigue can be ways the body communicates, and his role is to create the conditions for greater ease rather than impose a solution.
His practice brings together an understanding of anatomy and physiology with the more intuitive and embodied traditions of bodywork. Each treatment is an opportunity to pay attention to how the body feels, how it moves, and where it may be holding tension or asking for space.
Touch is at the centre of this process. Cían works with a balance of intention and responsiveness, adapting pressure, rhythm and technique to the person in front of him rather than following a fixed sequence. Sometimes the body benefits from focused, therapeutic work; at other times, slower and more grounding touch can be just as valuable.
Ultimately, the practice is about creating a space where you can slow down and reconnect with yourself. Massage can offer relief from physical tension, but it can also provide something less tangible: a chance to pause, become more aware of the body, and leave feeling a little more at home in it.
